Surrounded by different ‘national’ experience in the Biennale, We asked our interns to identify a country of their choice that is or has suffered from Social, Economical or Political conflict. The purpose of the assignment was to challenge our interns to understand the role of contemporary art, in such a grand setting of the Venice Biennale. We asked them to examine if the role of art has to necessarily extend to raising awareness about the Political, and the different ways the curator and artists escape or embrace bias.
The interns were very interested in exploring the different nationalistic themes and came up with wonderful pieces on art representation in the biennale. We will publish what they wrote.
