On Friday, 15th March 2013, A panel discussion on the importance of specialized internship schemes and education programmes within Art organisations in the region featured Valeria Mariani from Crossway Foundation, Muna Faisal Al Gurg and Alaa Edris Emirati artists and alumni of The Venice Internship Program for the UAE pavilion. The panel was moderated by Mariam Al Dabbagh, Education and Media Coordinator at the National Pavilion of the UAE- La Biennale di Venezia.

The talk was centred mainly around the importance of internship schemes, and both Alaa and Muna spoke about their experience(s) interning for Art Dubai, and The Venice Internship Program: an education programme that deploys Emiratis to Venice to work during La Biennale di Venezia. Valeria offered her insights and experience working for Crossway Foundation: a London-based charity delivering arts and education initiatives for young people across the UK and the Middle East.

The talk was then followed by a Q&A session.
