The lucky selected fellows for the Venice Internship Program were invited to participate in the inaugural training session in DIFC, Dubai. The training session was held in brownbook offices in Gatevillage 2.
The training included introductions to the program, a talk by Professor Alessandra Priante, Italian Cultural Attache for the Gulf Area, and a presentation by Rosie Stubbs, Exhibition Coordinator on living in Venice.
The fellows then were invited to have lunch at the Pizza Factory. The restaurant manager, Sogol was kind enough to decorate the restaurant with red, green and white ballons to celebrate their success. She was kind enough as well to bring a cake at the end of the delicious lunch at the restaurant.
The training then continued with a talk by Mariam W. Al Dabbagh, Education & Media Coordinator on The Venice Media Project, which sees the involvement of the fellows in using the program’s official social media accounts during their time in Venice. We will be posting more information on the project in this blog.
