Published for the Biennale Arte 2019, and edited by Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath, Passage contextualizes Nujoom Alghanem’s eponymous film that was specifically commissioned for the Pavilion. It includes a selection of her poetry, a wide array of production stills from the film, an in-depth interview with the artist, a curatorial essay by the editors, as well as a selection of installation images of the pavilion in Venice.
This fully illustrated 136-page publication under the same title as the exhibition, was edited by curators Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath. The publication is available in two separate English and Arabic language editions and includes an essay by the curators, an interview with the artist, several poems by Alghanem, and a selection of imagery from the film.
