Published for Biennale Arte 2011, and edited by Vasif Kortun, the publication discusses the rise of the UAE art scene through the presentation of 3 key artists: Abdullah Al Saadi, Reem Al Ghaith, and Lateefa bint Maktoum. The three Emirati artists featured individual concepts set in same-size spaces that are actually islands on their own. The displays include an installation, mixed-media sculpture, and photography. With foreword by H.E. Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Dr Lamees Hamdan and Vasif Kortun, and includes biographies of the artists and color plates of the artworks.
